This multi sport event encourages groups and individual athletes to cycle, paddle and run through some of Australia’s most magnificent country.
The Challenge starts from Khancoban with a mountain bike ride. Cyclists will ride use a combination of roads and tracks before they arrive at the first transition area just below the Khancoban Pondage dam wall.
Competitors then paddle down the Swampy Plains River and into the Murray, Australia’s mightiest river and the NSW/Vic State border. With the competition being held on the first weekend in October, competitors and spectators alike will enjoy waters flush with snowmelt.
15 kilometres after joining the Murray, the paddlers leave the river and the runners take over for the final leg of the race that takes them on to the finish line at Corryong. This 25 kilometre run rounds out the 80 kilometre event.
