Hume and Hovell Walking Track

The Hume and Hovell Walking Track  retraces as closely as is practical the route from Yass to Albury taken by the explorers Hamilton Hume and William Hovell in 1824.  The track gives access to a range of recreational opportunities and offers half day, one day and weekend walks as well as providing up to a twenty day trek for long distance walkers.   The Henry Angel track head just 7 km south of Tumbarumba offers an access point for an easy to moderate walk of up to 12km return.  Map kits are available from the Tumbarumba Visitor Information Centre.
